Branding and Logos


For this project you CAN use Google Slides BUT if you feel more comfortable using PowerPoint that is completely fine.

Assignment--

  • Pick a company that has gone through three (3) or more logo changes in the history of the company. It can be a company, it can be a brand, it can be a sports team
    • You may NOT use Starbucks Coffee for your project!

GRADED PART 1:

GRADED PART 2: PRESENTATION
  • Create a PowerPoint presentation about the company you picked and the changes that have happened to the logo over time.
    • Must be at least 6 slides long
      • A presentation Template has been made available to you in the Classroom
      • YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THIS TEMPLATE
    • Do not put too much information on each slide
      • You must get at least 5 facts/details from your article to be used in your PowerPoint
    • Your first slide must have your name and company name on it.
    • You must include a company overview slide at the beginning
    • There must be at least one slide telling about something the company does outside of the normal business (see example for details)
    • You must find at least one example of advertising for your company. It can be for the company as a whole or for a specific product that company sells
      • You need to use the 5 Questions from the first unit to analyze the advertisement
    • You must include a resource slide listing ALL sources you used (this can be a copy/paste of the web addresses). It is best to do this as you go along so you make sure you have them all.

GRADED PART 3: In the News
Companies work hard to get people to know their Logo and Brand but news about the company can also impact things
  • Go to Google.com and in the search bar type in your company's name (as in the company you did your presentation on)
  • Once the search results display choose NEWS from the top of the page
  • Select a NEWS article about your company
    • This has to be from a NEWS source
  • Print the article to THS 807 Laser (this is the printer that should come right up for you)
    • Try and look for the printer icon on the webpage or a print choice or copy and paste it into a document
  • Put your name on your article
  • Read your article
  • Add 7 annotations/notes to the article (or more).
    • These can be questions, comments, thoughts. things you don't understand, things you agree or disagree with
    • Write these in the margin
    • Feel free to use the highlighters or other supplies
  • Turn it into the basket next to the printer
